In your first day of Morocco Tours from Tangier, we will pick you up from the port in Tangier. Furthermore, we will drive through the Rif mountains and Tetoun city enjoying its breathtaking views to finally reach Chefchaouen. Chefchaouen has a Spanish style square with funky colour combination, craft stores, restaurants and cafés. We will spend the night in a riad.
After breakfast in the riad, we will begin the Morocco Tours from Tangier by driving towards Volubilis, the Roman empire ruins, crossing through Wazan and other Rif mountain towns. In Volubilis we will find out about the archeological site of Moroccan history, after the visit we will drive towards Meknes city the 17th century legacy, where we will stop for lunch and stay nearby the medina. Similarly, we will have time to explore Bab el Mansour and appreciate a visit of Moulay Ismail’s holy place. After the visit of Meknes we will drive to Fes city where we will spend the night in a riad.
After breakfast, we will investigate the oldest city in Morocco, strolling in its alleyways and back roads. Consequently our visit begins by visiting the Royal Palace door, the Jewish headquarter, the first Mellah ever built in Morocco in the sixteenth century. In any case, we will guarantee that you visit all the cultural destinations with social and historical interest including the celebrated Al Qaraouine University, the most oldest in the world, the Tanneries, the Attarine historical center and Mulay Idriss. After lunch, we will proceed going to the tiles cooperatives and afterward encounter a superb view of the entire Medina of Fes.
After breakfast, we will drive to Merzouga passing first through Errachidia and Erfoud. We will also visit the intriguing Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the Ziz Gorge, enjoying the view of the High Atlas Mountains, observing how the landscape changes to as we approach the city of Errachidia here we will enjoy lunch and appreciate the Berber hospitality. On arrival, we will be invited with a glass of mint tea before registering in your riad.
After breakfast, we can investigate the Merzouga village at the beginning of your camel ride. We will visit the Gnawa individuals, initially from Mali, Senegal and Sudan in their town Khamlia, where we will find out about their music and their way of life in the desert. Furthermore, we will drive in the desert area to meet nomad families to learn about their lifestyle. Today our lunch will consist of a traditional berber feast (Berber pizza). Similarly, we will have the chance to visit the old city of Rissani. Rissani is surrounded by around 360 ksar (fortress of towers) and has a major souk (an open market).
Once called Sijilmassa, this was the gathering place for the salt traders, originating from Tombouctou in Mali. We will stroll through the souk with captivating flavours, vegetables and artisans craft. Lastly, we will drive back to the town of Merzouga, where we will ride camels to investigate the most highest sand dunes in Morocco. Finally, supper will be servied in the tent where you will spend the night.
Our visit from Tangier proceeds by watching a unique sunrise on the Merzouga sand dunes of the Sahara. Furthermore, we will head back on our camels to visitor house for breakfast and shower. At that point we’ll drive through Rissani and Erfoud reaching Todra Gorges. There we will have time to stop enjoy the views and have a conventional Moroccan lunch here. Finally, we will arrive at Dades Valley for supper and to stay in our riad.
After breakfast, we will go through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate. The route towards Dades Valley is known for its thousand kasbahs. On the way, we will have various chances to take some of your best photographic shots of the excursion. Furthermore, we will stop at Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah for lunch known to be the largest Kasbah in Morocco built by El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chiefs in the start of the XXth Century, it used to be one of his hideouts for his long journeys from the Sahara to Marrakech. The kasbah is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Lastly, we will head towards the High Atlas Mountains enjoying its panoramic views and Berber towns along the way until we reach our destination Marrakech, where we will sleep in a traditional riad close to the medina.
After breakfast in the riad, our day will be spent exploring the city of Marrakech known to be “The red city of Morocco”. We will visit The Majorelle Gardens, The Koutoubia Tower, The Saadian Tombs and The Bahia Palace. After lunch at a restaurant near the square, we will walk through the souks and view hundreds of handicrafts. In the afternoon, you will have some free time to wonder by yourself.
After breakfast in your riad, we will begin visiting the seaside city of Essaouira. We will arrive after a two and a half hour drive to begin investigating the city. We will visit the Skala Fortress and see Thuya wood cut by craftsmans. Furthermore, we will stroll through the back streets of the medina and view several crafted works. Essaouira is known to be “City of the Wind” attracting surfers from all around the world. Essaouira has had numerous civic establishments including the Portuguese occupation. Influencing a lot of its architecture, it remains a little town with a lot of history.
Similarly, we will visit the ladies cooperatives of Argan oil. Here they remove the oil that is acclaimed for its culinary, medical and therapeutic properties. Today lunch will be served the Moroccan way with a crisp fish “cooked all together” at the fish showcase. In the evening we will go back to Marrakech.
