We start this 10 days tour from casablanca by Arrival at Casablanca airport, where we will meet you and drive to Casablanca and afterwards to Rabat. In Casablanca, you will visit the largest mosque after Mecca, the Hassan II Mosque. In the evening, we will explore Rabat, where we will explore Oudaya Kasbah and Hassan Tower before we proceed to check-in your riad at the Medina.
After breakfast in your riad in Rabat, we will begin our day driving to Meknes and Volubilis before arriving at Fes. Meknes, is recognised as a large imperial city in Morocco. In Meknes we will discover the Bab Mansour gate, the Sahrij Souani Bassin. We will also get to visit the Mulay Ismail Mausoleum. After lunch, our trip will continue to the Roman city of Volubilis, where we will get to see the well conserved Roman ruins, streets, and city format. As we travel through the Moroccan countryside we will visit the Holy City of Moulay Idriss. In the evening, we will arrive at Fes, where we will proceed to check-in your riad at the Medina.
After breakfast, we will begin our explorative trip to the Medina, where we will visit the numerous hidden treasures that only locals of the place know about. Fes served as the capital Morocco for over 350 years and is home to the University of Al Karaouine, the most oldest university in the world. Subsequently your guided visit will take you to Moulay Idriss tomb, the Nejjarine Fountains and the Tanneries.
After lunch, we will explore the Royal Palace and stroll through the well known Jewish quarter known as “the Mellah”. There we will have the choice to visit one of only a handful couple of living synagogues in Morocco. Furthermore, your voyage continues to Fes incorporates a short visit to a famous ceramic factory and after that we will appreciate a magnificent view of the entire Medina of Fes.
Following breakfast in the riad, we will head towards Merzouga. Along the way, we will be able to admire the beautiful scenery of the High Atlas Mountains and the Middle Atas Mountains. We will stop over at a Cedar woods, the largest one in Morocco, located in the Middle Atlas Mountains, where we will be able to see monkeys. After lunch in Midelt, we will travel to the desert and we will observe the variety of scenery as we arrive the city of Errachidia. Furthermore, our journey continues to Ziz Valley and the Tafilalet palm grove, known for the cultivation of its dates. Once we arrive at Merzouga, we will be invited to a glass of mint tea before proceeding to check-in the riad.
We will begin to explore the town of Merzouga after breakfast visiting the Gnawa desert tribe learn from their culture, music and lifestyle. We will also visit the souk in Rissani, known to be a local town the birthplace of the current ruling family. After the visit, we will head back to the village of Merzouga enjoy a relaxing camel trek along the desert dunes in Merzouga, where we will sleep overnight in our luxury Sahara desert camp.
Today we will wake up early to watch a unique sunrise over the spectacular Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Further along the day, we will trek back to the village of Merzouga. Once we arrive at Merzouga, we will freshen up and have breakfast after at our riad. Furthermore, we will visit Rissani , Tinghir, and Todra gorges. After lunch, we will drive to Dades Valley to observe the sand castles. Tonight we will stay at a riad on the top of the valley.
Following breakfast, we will drive to Dades Valley towards Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate. On the way, we will be driving on the route of the thousand Kasbahs with plenty of time to stop for photographic shots of the trek. We’ll stop at Kalaat Mgouna known as “the rose city” to buy its famous rosewater. In addition, we will travel to Ait Ben Haddou home for numerous Glaoui individuals. Furthermore, our Morocco Safaris tour guide will drive to the Tizi’n’Tichka roads at 2260 metres in the High Atlas Mountains before arriving at your riad in the medina of Marrakech.
Today we will explore “the Red City of Morocco” also known as Marrakech. Our Morocco Safaris local tour guide will make sure you visit all the authentic and cultural sites, including the Koutoubia Minaret, the Saadian tombs, Palace of Bahia and the Ben Youssef School. In the afternoon, you will be able to stroll in the medina area visiting its alleyways and shortcuts to explore the artisans artworks at Jemaa el Fna square. After lunch at the square we will visit the Majorelle gardens and will also visit Gueliz, the new city of Marrakech. In the evening, you will have the opportunity to discover the square filled with conjurers, story-tellers and merchants. In the night we will stay at our riad in Marrakech.
Following breakfast, we will visit the coastal city of Essaouira. We will also get to visit the Skala Fortress. This “City of the Wind” attracts surfers from all over the world. It is also known to be ‘Gem of the Atlantic’ with its diverse design influenced by Portuguese occupation.
In addition, we will visit the ladies’ cooperatives of Argan oil. This special oil is known for its culinary, medicinal and therapeutic properties. Lunch will be served the Moroccan way with fresh fish “cooked all together”. In the evening, we will travel back to Marrakech and spend the night in our riad.
